Reader POV

From the time I was five, I have been able to use alchemy. My mother forbid it, because it reminded her of my father. When I was little, I would sneak into my father's study and would stay up the whole night reading. My mother would get furious with me and would lock his study. That would never stop me, alchemy is in my blood.

Now I'm just an orphan, roaming from place to place. Alchemy is the only thing I have left. My mother committed suicide one afternoon while I was at school. I have left my past back in my hometown, never to return to it.

Currently, I'm traveling to Central, our country's capital. It will be the place where I become a State Alchemist. I will find my father, and kill him. He is the reason my mother is dead. She died of her loneliness. I won't live the life she did. I want a life of adventure, to be free. Someday, I might settle down and get married. That won't be anytime soon, though.

As I got off the train, I stumbled into something. Ok, more like someone. This someone had blonde hair and the most dazzling honey colored eyes. I felt my face grow heated and my ______ eyes grow wide. The person in front of me just smiled and helped me to my feet.

"I-I'm sorry!" I stuttered

"Haha, it’s fine! I'm Edward Elric, The FullMetal Alchemist! May I ask what your name is?" Edward smiled at me.

"I'm ________, _________ ___________. I'm heading towards Central. Where are you going?" I asked out of curiosity.

"__________, huh? Cute name for a cute girl. My brother and I are also heading towards Central. Can we accompany you?"

I giggled, "Of course, you may!"

I picked up my bag and began to walk out of the station. "You guys, coming? Or are you going to stare at my butt the whole time? I yelled back at them.

I thought I saw Edward's face flash a bright ruby red. Quickly, they ran to catch up. I looked over at Edward's brother. He had slightly darker hair, yet his eyes were that same honey color. Edward wore his hair in a braid, but his brother only had his hair pulled back into a ponytail.

Edward's brother noticed my stare and flashed me a bright smile. "I'm sorry, we weren't properly introduced. I'm Alphonse Elric, you can call me Al though."

"Hi, Al! As you know, I'm _______. "

Edward spoke up and said, “________, why would you come to this stinky old city?"

I sighed, “I perform alchemy and have been for 13 years. Since my family is gone, I have come to Central to become a State Alchemist."

Edward and Al both stopped walking and stared at me. Al was able to speak up first. “But _______, being a State Alchemist isn't what you think it may be."

I shook my head, “I know, my father is a State Alchemist. He just left one day never to come home. My mother killed herself because of it."

Edward looked into my eyes and sighed. "State Alchemist, huh? I think I could help you, only if you can impress General Roy Mustang."

My eyes began to sparkle. "The Flame Alchemist? I have anyways wanted to him and The Famous Elric Brothers! My dreams are coming true!"

"I don't think you'll feel the same once you meet the guy." Al shrugged.

"Speak of the Devil" Edward smirked and waved at the General.

"Well if it isn't Alphonse Elric and short-stack. Oh, lookie here. Who is this fair maiden?" Reaching over to gently kiss my hand.

"SHORT-STACK?! SAY THAT AGAIN! I DARE YOU!"

I giggled, "I'm _______. Please to finally meet you in person."

"Ah ________, the animal alchemist. You are quite the star in the northern lands."

"The Animal Alchemist?" Edward cocked an eyebrow at me.

"It's a long story." I shrugged.

"We have time. Shall we get some coffee?" Roy looked at his watch.

"I suppose." The four of us headed out to look for a coffee shop. I was not looking forward to telling them of my past.
